"Himna SRTV - Ozren" (lit. "Hymn of SRTV - Ozren") is a song written and performed by Zoran Damjanović Zoka.

Music and lyrics

The music is an adaptation of the Serbian folk song Đurđevdan, which itself is an adaptation of the Romani folk song Ederlezi. The lyrics are mostly about a radio station in Ozren, but also mention St. George's Day, the holiday which the songs Đurđevdan and Ederlezi are originally about.

Lyrics

Lyrics:

U vihoru rata rođeno je srpko čedo mlado,
srpski radio, Bog ga čuvao,
godine prolaze, on ostaje, s vama srpski narode,
s' vama srpski narode, skupa ratuje

Hej, najbolji smo dobro znaju naši dušmani,
naši dušmani, bili prokleti

Hej, radio Ozren, radio Ozren
na Đurđevdan rođen je,
radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
hej, slušate ga svakog dana od tog Đurđevdana

Ej, dok postoji srpsko ime, živjet će i on,
živjet će i on, živjet dovijeka,
nikada nas niko neće moći slomiti,
moći slomiti, mi smo najjači

Hej, radio Ozren, radio Ozren
na Đurđevdan rođen je,
radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
hej, slušate ga svakog dana od tog Đurđevdana

Lyrics (English):

In the whirlwind of war, a young Serbian child was born,
Serbian radio, God protected it,
years are passing, it remains, with you Serbian people,
with you Serbian people, together even in war

Hey, we're the best, our enemies know well,
they know well, let them be damned

Hey, radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
born on St. George's Day,
radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
hey, you've been listening to it every day, since St. George's Day

Hey, as long as there's a Serbian name, it will live too,
it will live too, it will live forever,
no one will ever be able to break us,
never able to break us, we are the strongest

Hey, radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
born on St. George's Day,
radio Ozren, radio Ozren,
hey, you've been listening to it every day, since St. George's Day
