Mom Brodu (lit. My Brod) is a compilation cassette made in 1992, during the war in Croatia. The tape contains 14 patriotic songs of various genres made by singers from Slavonski Brod in the period 1991-92. It was released by Radio Brod and the weekly newsletter Posavska Hrvatska in collaboration with the society Naša djeca. All the receipts obtained from the selling of the tape went to humanitarian causes. The tape is also referred to as Mom Brodu, ranjenom i ponosnom.
Background
During the war in Slavonski Brod, various singers and groups recorded patriotic songs. In 1992, at the initiative of Duško Svilar, a corresponded and photographer for HRT during the war in Slavonski Brod, also a rock singer during his youth, decided to compile some of these songs in one place.[1]
