Hanka Paldum (born 28 April 1956) is a Bosnian folk singer. She is most known for her sevdalinka work and her record label Sarajevo Disk. Her music is still widely known in ex-Yugoslavia and modern day Bosnia.
Early life
Hanka Paldum released her debut album Voljela sam oči nevjerne (In English: I loved Unfaithful Eyes) On February 13th 1974, When she was only 17 years old. The cassette is still very common, and songs from it can be found on several CD re-releases of Hanka Paldum's albums.
During the breakup of Yugoslavia, and particularly the Bosnian war, she spent her time living in Sarajevo[1], where she produced a war tape called "Sarajevo Heroj Grad" with Embex, though she has never publicly acknowledged the existence of the album since the war. She was also seen on a video singing a song only known as "Patriotska Liga".
