Background

The album would be one of the last albums arranged by Orkestar Pravoslavci over the course of the war. While no exact dates are given, the musical style suggests that it was in production in 1994 with the album being released late into the year as the domestic release contains a 1995 calendar that says "Srećna Nova 1995", wishing a Happy New Year in 1995. The duet "Povedi i mene, brate" credits the duettist in the album as "Bilja". While it is widely believed to be Bilja Đukanović, her identity is still unconfirmed.

Release

Idu braća Krajišnici would release some time in 1994 by Neđo Disk. Studio Fantastiko, a German production studio responsible for remixing the album would also distribute the album in Germany. After the release of Idu braća Krajišnici, Neđo Kostić would not release a new album for more than a decade.

The song "Ponosan sam što sam Srbin" would be covered by Baja Mali Knindža in the album, Idemo dalje the following year.
