Bila jednom jedna zemlja (Serbian Cyrillic: Била једном једна земља, lit. "Once Upon a Time, There Was a Land") is the second studio album by Braća sa Dinare, released in January 1995, by SuperTon. It would be the last Braća sa Dinare album with the original lineup and the last with Goran Radinović.

Background

Bila jednom jedna zemlja features Baja's second collaboration with Riblja Čorba frontman, Bora Đorđević whose first guest appearance in a Baja album was in Još se ništa ne zna two years prior. He would appear on the title track and "Ja ću da pevam". Despite the album listing the performers as Braća sa Dinare, the original lineup would only appear on two tracks: "Dinarska baraba" and "Epidemija". Orkestar Pravoslavci would arrange the last two tracks, though they are not patriotic in nature and only feature Baja. The picture featured in the back of the j-card is also featured in an interview published by Sabor.

The style of the album would be more emphasis on folk than disco, which would be a staple of albums arranged by Željko Jovanović. Whether or not it was the decision of Željko, Baja, or both is unclear.

Release

Bila jednom jedna zemlja would be released by SuperTon in January 1995 either at the same time as or shortly after the release of Baja's Igraju se delije. It would also be released by Estrada Shop for Swiss distribution. The title track would be featured in the 1998 compilation The Best Off.

In 2016, the official SuperTon YouTube channel would upload the album, though in low quality. It is thought that the masters of the album have since been lost.
