The song | The song is an adapted version of the song, "Na obali Drine". Originally written by Rade Jovanović and composed by Zaim Imamović, the song was initially released on a single in 1960. Performed by Mile Petrović and Zaim Imamović, it was originally about a Partisan mother mourning the loss of her son who was killed and thrown in the Drina. This reworked changes the mom from being Partisan to Serbian. This version explicitly states that the son was shot and killed by Ustaša forces and was thrown into the river. The song is also about two minutes longer. | ||
