(Added a teeny tiny bit of details. It's a whole history project and a half, so I'll have to come back when I'm not half asleep.)
(Overhauled article. Most of the sources I gathered was literally from the VHS. Interestingly, sources that talk about the SPO don't talk about the interview with Draza's son. The Goodwill haul I got of Yugo war related books don't even talk about the escapades the SPO and Vuk got into.)

''Povratak heroja'' was released some time in 1992. While no label is attached to the production, it is assumed the VHS was distributed by the Serbian Renewal Movement. The runtime of the VHS is about two and a half hours, with the majority of the VHS showcasing the unveiling of the Draža Monument. The VHS opens with a text scroll with a picture of Draža in the background, prefacing the moments leading up to the 50th anniversary event and the statue's unveiling. It ends with a special thanks for a German branch of the SPO as well as donators and volunteers who had contributed to the SPO's efforts. It is an amateur production in the same way as the [[Srpska demokratska stranke Video-istorija srpske stranke u Hrvatskoj|VHS by the SDS]], another political party. Because of its amateur and anonymous production, the video quality is relatively poor with the video being either too light or too dark in some areas.

Despite the film documenting the history of the Draža monument, sources that mention the statue only reference the SPO's involvement briefly or do not bring it up. The VHS claims that a plaque was unveiled a year prior to the statue with the words, "у Тополи Карађорђе/у Такову Милош/на Равној Гори "ЧИЧА" Дража", however no sources or pictures have surfaced of the plaque.

In 2024, a listing of the VHS would be uncovered and subsequently obtained by community member RandomAtribute20k with its contents being uploaded later in the year.

It is notable for its footage being used in the music video of the Lepi Mića song, "Dražin barjak" as well as the only known on-film appearance of Chetnik general Draža Mihailović's son, Branko Mihailović.

Background

SPO leader Vuk Drašković and Branko Mihailović. (Srpski reč, 1990)

In 1990, there was a new wave of nationalism and with it, a renewed interest in the Chetniks. The newly formed Serbian Renewal Movement (Srpski Pokret Obnove), took this opportunity and located Branko Mihailović, son of the Chetnik general Draža Mihailović. SPO leader Vuk Drašković would interview Mihailović which would be published in the magazine, Srpski reč in the same year.[1] On the anniversary of the third Serbian uprising, the SPO attempted to organize an event, but were prevented from doing so by authorities.

In 1991, the SPO would successfully host an event, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the third Serbian uprising with Branko as a guest speaker. Branko would go on to do another interview in the magazine, On on the 4th of October.

In 1992, a monument for Draža in Ravna Gora would be funded by the SPO. This monument would be unveiled on an SPO-hosted event on 13 May 1992. The event featured musical performances, a speech from Drašković and other guests, and attendees from all over the world.
