Dosta mi je rata
Dosta mi je rata (Serbian Cyrillic: Доста ми је рата, lit. "I'm Sick of War") is the debut album of singer Goran Legenda, released in 1994, by Nina Trejd. Despite the name, half of the album is comprised of love songs. It is the only known album from Goran Legenda.
Background
The album's cover would have "east" and "west" on the back instead of the generic "side A/B" for unknown reasons. Despite the name, the title track is a love song rather than a patriotic one. The only songs that are patriotic or war-related are "Oj Krajino majski cvetu", "Moj je deda ratnik bio", and "Junak Veljko". Most of the patriotic songs were written by Miladin Krvgin Savić (who wrote for Prva Linija's Ako padnem brate moj a year prior). Unlike some albums where all patriotic albums are on one side and all love songs on the other, the songs alternate on the album.
Release
Dosta mi je rata released some time in 1994 by Nina Trejd. It would be published as one of Lazarević Produktion's first releases, intended for the foreign market. The track "Oj Krajino majski cvetu" would be performed on RTV and in a music festival in Ilidža the same year.
In the present day, the song "Junak Veljko" is one of the more notable songs on the album since it is about Veljko Milanković, a commander who passed away a year before the album was released.
