Music and lyrics

The song was originally written by Mijat Božović and initially appeared in the 1988 Vinko Brnada self-titled album under the same name. Baja would rework the song, though would not make it war-related like "Za koga sam ratovao". This adaptation would instead be a small story of drinking with friends at a kafana rather than telling a story of going abroad and hooking up with someone else.

Lyrics

Lyrics:

Pješke idem iz grada
Pješke idem iz grada
Hej ženo moja draga
preko tuđih ljivada
Hej ženo moja draga
preko tuđih ljivada

U kafani bio sam
U kafani bio sam
Hej ženo moja draga
i sa društo pio sam
Hej ženo moja draga
i sa društo pio sam

Sve sam pare popio
Sve sam pare popio
Hej ženo moja draga
I još sve zatužio
Hej ženo moja draga
I još sve zatužio

Prodaćemo plugove
Prodaćemo plugove
Hej ženo moja draga
Vratićemo dugove
Hej ženo moja draga
Vratićemo dugove
