On the cassette labels, Ljubomir Ranković is credited for instruments and vocals, though the songs come from the Gedža albums 12 najlepših četničkih pesama and its 18-song counterpart.

The cover image used is a slightly altered photo of the Ravna Gora Movement leader Draža Mihailović in 1937.

Release

Četničke pesme was released in July 1990, "Zalson" Šabac. Most of the songs published in this album were also featured in 12 najlepših četničkih pesama which was published in the same year. However, the songs "Na planini, na Jelici" and "Nad Kraljevom živa vatra seva" would not appear on an official release until 1994 when its 18-song counterpart was released.

The album would initially be promoted in the publication, Velika Srbija as Stare četničke pesme.[1] Advertisements for Četničke pesme were also shown along side the newly released Otadžbinske pesme in the publication, Srpska reč from mid-October 1991 to mid-April 1992.[2][3]
