Ne dirajte njega (lit. "Don't Touch Him") is the eleventh studio album by Serb war singer Baja Mali Knindža, released in 1997, by Lazarević Produktion and Estrada Shop. It is the only album released by Lazarević Production and the only collaboration with Novica Nikolić.

Background

After Zbogom oružje Baja went to Lazarević Production, who at the time was just starting to release their own original works rather than solely redistribute albums in Europe. Like Zbogom oružje, Meri would be credited on the release as the photo selector using an original photoshoot rather than picking out from pre-existing ones. Unlike Zbogom oružje however, Baja would not reuse the "Mali Baja" moniker and from this release forward, would never use it again, with its only other appearance being in Plači voljena zemljo.

With the collaboration with brothers Nenad and Novica Nikolić, the album's music would sound more updated than the previous two albums. While Baja's style would evolve continuously in future works, this specific direction would not be done again. Like Baja, this is the only release in their discography under Lazarević Produktion with a majority of the remainder of their work being published under ZaM.

While most content is original, "Bez zavičaja" is cover of the Nervozni Poštar song "Bez zavičaja sreće nema" from 1988, albeit with minor changes to fit the album's style.

Prior to the release of the album, Baja would promote the album on the channel Pink. On February 12th, Baja would go on Od snova do stvarnosti and perform "Slađana".[1] On March 9th, Baja was briefly interviewed on the Diskos-hosted program, Diskosova Folkoteka.[2] Three days before the release of the album, he would reappear on the program and perform "Magija".[3]

Release

Ne dirajte njega was released on cassette and CD format on March 19, 1997, by Lazarević Produktion and Estrada shop. This would be the last known release from Estrada shop and the only album from Baja's solo career to be released by Lazarević Produktion.

The album has a dedication to Baja's daughter Smiljani, who was born a year prior to the release of the album.[4] It would be the only album released with a dedication in this manner, with Za kim zvona zvone and Gluvi barut allocating them to the moral support section.

Despite being the only release by Lazarević Produktion, Baja would work with artists within the company until 1999 where he would migrate to Renome.

The songs "Bez zavičaja" and "Magija" would become setlist staples. While it is unknown if any other songs "Bez zavičaja" would receive a music video.[5]
