"Oj, Alija nise više glavni" (Serbian Cyrillic: "Ој, Алија нисе више главни", lit. "Oh Alija, You Are No Longer Chief") is a song written and performed by prominent Serb war singer Baja Mali Knindža. The song's original upload on the official SuperTon channel would become their most popular video with 2.5 million views[1] until sometime in early 2025 where the video was set to private.

An altered version of the instrumental would be used on the album Seobe, in the song "Ništa nije k'o ranije".

Music and lyrics

In the verse "Oj Alija, možeš li slanine/Da ti đedo sa tavana skine" Baja uses irony to create a double entendre. Slanina, translated as "bacon", is mentioned to provoke the Islamic faith as the consumption of the food is forbidden for Muslims. In addition, by specifically mentioning a grandfather is getting the bacon, Baja references the common belief that a majority of Bosnian Muslims are converted Christians, which further contextualizes the nationalistic character of the song.

Lyrics:

Lyrics:

Sa Manjače poručuju vuci
"Selite se Banjalučki Turci!"

Oj Alija, nisi više glavni
Pobedio narod pravoslavni

Oj Alija, možeš li slanine
Da ti đedo sa tavana skine

Oj Alija, nisi više glavni
Pobedio narod pravoslavni

Ne diraj nam Republiku Srpsku
Kupi prnje i beži u Tursku

Oj Alija, nisi više glavni
Pobedio narod pravoslavni

Lyrics (English):

From Manjača, the wolves say
"Move away Turks from Banja Luka!"

Oh Alija, you're no longer in charge
The Orthodox people won

Oh Alija, would you like some bacon
That your grandpa gets from the attic?

Oh Alija, you're no longer in charge
The Orthodox people won

Don't touch our Republika Srpska
Pick up your rags and run off to Turkey

Oh Alija, you're no longer in charge
The Orthodox people won
