Recording of the album took place between April and May of 1996. Novak does not appear in the album, but returned in the next album, ''[[Ja se svoga, ne odričem do groba]]''. The album's themes pertain to Post-War topics such as displacement and what was Krajina. The song "Pješke idem iz grada" is attributed by "traditional", though was originally written by Mijat Božović in 1989. Its lyrics was altered to better fit the album's themes. The last track, "Posle oluje" is a callback to the ''[[Živeće ovaj narod]]'' song, "[[Miriše na kišu]]" as it retains the song's melody and lyrics with the line "Oblačno je, i kiša se sprema" being a direct reference to the song.
