Dobro jutro, moj Srbine (Serbian Cyrillic: Добро јутро, мој Србине, lit. "Good Morning, My Serb") is the debut album of Veselin Grujić - Vesa, released in 1992, by PGP RTB.
Background
The producer and arranger, Branko Marinković - Lalić and the executive producer, Milomir Dafinić worked previously on Borovo Selo a year prior to Dobro jutro, moj Srbine. The songs featured on the album are traditional folk songs of unknown origin.
Most of the album references historical figures such as Karađorđe and Dušan and, like most albums made at the time, make references to the events that took place in the Independent State of Croatia in World War 2.
Release
Dobro jutro, moj Srbine was released some time in 1992 by PGP RTB and is one of the earliest war-related albums released by the label. While no exact release date is given, a performance of the title track by Beli Orlovi (who would go on to collaborate with Lalić and Grujić on future albums) took place late January of the same year[1] which could be indicative of an early-mid 1992 release.
In the same year, the song "Znaš, Srbine, kad smo bili mali" and other war-related albums produced at the time would be referenced in the article, "Šta pevaju Srbi i Hrvati?"[2]
In 2016, the official PGP RTS YouTube channel uploaded the album. Despite the videos labeling the audio as high quality, it is compressed.[3]
