Četničke pesme uživo (Serbian Cyrillic: Четничке песме уживо, lit. "Chetnik Songs Live") is a compilation album released some time in the 2000's by patriot. Despite its namesake, half of the songs featured in the album are not live performances. While it is assumed as an official release by patriot, it is unknown if patriot had asked for permission beforehand.
Background
The songs featured in Četničke pesme uživo are compiled from other albums from various performances. The live variants for "Kad sam bio mali", "Vrati se vojvodo", "Pevaj Srbijo" and "Božić je" are from the 1993 live album, Sve za Srpstvo, Srpstvo nizašta. "O Radovanu" is from Još sad pa ko zna kad! vol. 1/Ajmo braćo u kafanu. "Srpsko kraljevsko kolo" is from the live album Gara iz Nemačke. "Drma mi se na šubari cvet" is from the album Srpske patriotske pesme and is not a live song. "Ne diraj u Srbiju" is from the album Nije lako Srbin biti and is not a live performance. "Velika Srbija" and "Na avali pokraj Beograda" are not live performances and come from the album Kralju Pero, Srpski sine! Srpske narodne pesme. "Ravnogorsko kolo" (another song that is not a live variant) is from the 1993 album Zemljo mala al' srca velika by brothers Petar and Slađa Bušić. The song "Ja sam četnik, majko" is another song that is not live and is from the 1993 Milan Mića Petrović album Dvadesetog veka junak.
The compilation also includes orphaned work that has yet to be identified. The song "Četničko ognjište", also known as "Medvednice"[1] is not a live performance, and its source is most likely from a Soko release. While the source for "U šumici kolibica mala" is unknown, the person who performed this version is Vladan Petrovic - Grole.[2] "Oj četnici, ravnogorci" has no known source, though its performer has been identified as Vidan Joksimović.[3] Both "Dražin barjak" and "Morem plovi jedna mala barka" are under anonymous authors who have yet to be identified, with the ladder being live and from a direct soundboard recording. A cover of the song "Dođi pope ljubimo ti stope" under the name "Momčilo vojvoda" is another recording from the soundboard, though its author nor the performance it is derived from has not been identified. "Radovanovo kolo" has appeared online, though this version seems to be a direct recording from the soundboard. While the songs "Na vrh gore Romanije" and Nas dva brata, oba četujemo" exist in Petrović's discography, these versions are much older recordings and seems to have been from a vinyl record of unknown origin. Its style is different from most of Petrović's discography and the vocals are noticeably different. Whether or not it is actually from Petrović is currently unknown.
Release
Četničke pesme uživo was released some time in the 2000's. With most patriot releases, there is usually an accompanying cassette release. However, a cassette equivalent has yet to surface.
