"Vrati se vojvodo" (Serbian Cyrillic: "Врати се војводо", lit. "Come Back, Vojvoda") is a song written and performed by prominent Serb war singer Baja Mali Knindža. Initially appearing as the final track in Stan'te paše i ustaše, it was included in the CD version of Pobediće Istina, the 1997 album Srpskim radikalima, and the compilation Moje najljepše, one naše !? Vaš Baja Mali. A live rendition is featured in Sve za Srpstvo, Srpstvo nizašta with that version in the compilation album, Četničke pesme uživo. While Baja no longer performs the song, especially since Đujić is no longer alive, it still remains to be a very popular song among online Chetnik circles.
Unlike most music videos on Najveći hitovi, the music video of Vrati se vojvodo with from a TV broadcast, specifically from SRTV Knin which may have been one of the first music videos in Baja's career to be filmed.
Music and lyrics
The song calls for leader of the Dinara Division, Vojvoda Momčilo Đujić to come back to the Dinara mountain where he once fought. Baja notes that he is making a song in order to get him to return to help Krajina fight the Ustasha like he once did decades ago with the use of "Ustasha" being used to refer to Croatian military forces.
Music video
Due to the presumed circumstances of the music video, the video is in noticeably low quality with a saturated and unstable picture. Filming of the music video took place in Kovačić (near Knin), the birthplace of Momčilo Đujić. The music video starts by showing the Dinara mountainside, followed by a shot of the doorknob of Đujić's house. The video then cuts to Baja who pushes down the doorknob in hopes to open it to no avail, awkwardly looks at the camera and the window to the house. The scene shifts to Baja singing at the bottom part of the house and is shown until he finishes singing the chorus. Baja is seen inside of the home looking at a box of jewelry and then closing it. A close up shot of a door is shown until Baja sings again. The scene switches from a shot of Baja singing near a door on the bottom of the house or at the base of the steps. Halfway through the last verse, the shots switches to shots of Dinara and Baja singing on the path to Đujić's home. The video's closing shot is of Baja exiting the doorway to the left of the bottom part of the house. Considering his placement, this could have been the same scene in the beginning shortly before he begins singing. This is not the first occasion that this has happened as in the first rendition of Ne dam Krajine, where in one scene Baja begins to sing when the song itself has him finishing the chorus, though is quickly changed to another shot.
